I do respect Gandhi for trying his best to stop the riots between Hindus and Muslims. I respect him for atleast trying to show a more pacific side to the conflict in Pre partition India.

However, there are several facets of Gandhi ji's life that need closer scrutiny and inspection. He is not the all out saint that people have been led to believe. Apart from his very well established views mentioned above, he was also a man who supported sectarian organizations in a bid to counter Muslim League influence. I suggest you go read about his support for a certain Ahrari movement that had the full backing of Gandhi and Congress, which at the same time was busy spreading hatred about others.

P.S I hate no one. But one should not be swept away by emotions when discussing any topic.
