2 more Indians were released few months back.
This is more of a sweetener/demo by both sides to facilitate more important prisoner swaps like US profs/haqqani

Sounds unlikely that even 1 high ranking taliban official would be released for Indian labourers. This is not insult or anything, I just don't think India views it's labourers that highly. It doesn't seem like an even swap deal.

Kulbhushan was also a businessman with a second genuine passport of fake identity.

Please also take care of many fishermen in Pakistan custody.

These labourers and the 2 U.S. profs were the only foreigners in Taliban custody so it's not as if there were many options or choices.

Kulbhushan was also a businessman with a second genuine passport of fake identity.

Please also take care of many fishermen in Pakistan custody.

US exchanged 8 taliban for 1 american guy.
As I already said these labourers & 2 profs were all the Taliban had, so you can only release those who you have.
