103 Popular Oil & Ghee Brands Found Harmful for Consumption in Pakistan

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has banned the sale of 103 brands of cooking oil and ghee in Pakistan, terming these harmful for consumption. 47 of these failed on safety parameters whereas the remaining 56 failed to meet quality standards.

68,120 kilograms of such oils and ghee have been confiscated from the market and the watchdog has directed to ban the production and distribution until they don’t conform to the health standards.

The food safety teams collected 317 samples from the market and the results were gauged on the basis of blind sampling before company representatives.

211 brands conformed to the standards against which the samples were tested.

All these "manufacturers" are just importing palm oil and repackaging it. Palm oil import should be banned for its health risks. Its a cardiovascular tragedy waiting to happen.

Desi ghee or makhan Kashmir Dalda
But all of them are harmful and should be consumed in moderation oil I think is better than ghee

They know fake products like 100% fake milk is being sold in market but they take bribe and close eyes. Pakistan zinadabad.
