The year 2015 has clearly been Narendra Modi’s year. Innumerable foreign visits, loads of swag, impressive speeches – Mr Modi created history this year. 2015 was a roller coaster ride for him, minus the downs. This year alone, our prime minister visited 25 countries. With a total of 28 foreign visits under his belt, he gave many a foreign minister a run for their money.
His recent visit to Pakistan without a visa sits as the cherry on the cake. At the age of 65, he has traveled more in a single year than we ordinary mortals will during our entire lives. Besides getting countries to invest in India and scoring diplomatic trust internationally, PM Modi has given us major travel goals. If he can do it at 65, we sure can do at least half of it in our twenties.
1. Starting The Year Like A Boss
Mr Modi’s obsession with suits and khadi kurtas wasn’t much known till he made that historic appearance in his pinstriped suit which had his name embossed all over. Setting an unprecedented trend in Indian politics, PM Modi stepped out in style when he received US President Obama on the eve of the Indian Republic Day. Unapologetically stylish and narcissist, PM Modi sure made heads turn.
2. Impressing Germany with Make In India
PM Modi managed to make a mark with his magnificent Make In India campaign, which focuses on strenghtening India as a manufacturing hub worldwide.
3. To Becoming The First Indian Prime Minister To Visit Mongolia
4. His Visit To China Tickled A Few On Twitter

But Mr Modi maintained his usual swag.
5. Visiting UAE’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque And Clicking A Selfie With Royalty

PM Modi scored big on his very first visit to an Islamic country. Praising the basic teachings of Islam, the Indian PM extended a friendly hand toward the Muslim nation. And then he showed us how to click a perfect selfie: here with HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan & HE Dr. Anwar Gargash.
6. When The Irish PM Gifts You A Personalized Cricket Jersey
Becoming the first PM to visit Ireland in 59 years, Modi met Irish prime minister Enda Kenny (in the picture above) to discuss some key issues like Ireland’s visa policy towards Indian IT firms and the country’s support for India’s UN Security Council membership.
7. When Mark Zuckerberg Learned Of Mr Modi’s Love For The Camera
This could very well go down as the most epic moment of 2015. Seen interacting with Facebook CEO Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg, he proved he always knew where the camera is!
Modi’s visit to California in September this year was the first visit by an Indian leader in 30 long years. The second Indian PM to visit the country, the first being Indira Gandhi, Modi made sure his visit was nothing less than landmark. Exuding swag rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of the Silicon Valley, Modi sure put India on the map.
