1. Kerala: It’s not without reason that Kerala is called God’s own country. The state houses everything, beaches, hill stations, religious places and even historical ones. Popular beaches in Kerala include Kovalam, Varkala, Muzhappilangad and much more. It is home to 12 wildlife sanctuaries and 2 national parks. Munnar is a serene hill station here.

2. Goa: If you love the sound of waves, blue waters and white sand, Goa will leave you mesmerised. But this small state has much more than beaches! Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Molem Wildlife Sanctuary, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Madei Wildlife Sanctuary are a few popular sanctuaries in Goa. Dudhsagar Falls too is a major attraction!

3. Rajasthan: Vast Deserts, magnificent palaces and huge forts in Rajasthan will leave the history buff in you spellbound. Dilwara Temples and several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries are located here. The must see destinations in Rajasthan are Jaipur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Mount Abu and Ajmer. One can never have enough of Rajasthan, and you will take with you some stories that will stay with you forever.

4. Punjab: Punjab is one of the most beautiful states in India. The most popular destination here is Amritsar’s exquisite Golden Temple. The flag lowering ceremony at Wagah Border is also something one should certainly watch! What more, it is a foodie’s paradise!

5. Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir is rightly known as the heaven on Earth. After all, Srinagar, Sonamarg, Leh, Ladakh, Zanskar, Suru Valley, few of the most spectacular places in India are a part of it. You may go across the globe, but you can never find a place more heavenly than Jammu and Kashmir.

6. Karnataka: From mist covered hills, to white waterfalls, and lush greenery to historical ruins, Karnataka has it all. If one hops from one place to another, one will notice the diverse landscapes of Karnataka and will most certainly be fascinated! Coorg is a scenic hill station here, Mysore, the city of palaces, Gokarna, popular for its pristine beaches and Hampi, a world heritage site.

7. Sikkim: Sikkim offers a visual treat that is so stunning that you will be completely lost for words. Lachung, Nathula, Lachen, Chopta Valley, Goecha La are few of the famous tourist spots here. One seeking some soul soothing should certainly visit Sikkim!

8. Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh houses few of the most important historical, architectural and religious destinations in India. Taj Mahal, the epitome of love, Varanasi, the oldest city which is believed to bring salvation, Ayodhya, an important pilgrimage place, Allahabad, one of the holiest cities in India and several more are a part of Uttar Pradesh.

9. Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu is home to Madurai, the city of Temples, Thanjavur, its cultural capital, Kanyakumari, a land full of myths and legends, Ooty, the Queen of hill stations and much more! The state has many tales to tell, which teamed with some delicious delicacies will give you unforgettable memories.

Till now all are covered except Kerala, Punjab, J&K and parts of UP!!

There is nothing worth watching in Punjab except the Golden Temple. Similarly UP is limited to Agra....the other 7 states are in a different league.
Why??? you are forgetting Jallianwala bagh and wagah border... plus chandigarh is a very beautiful place ( just like its ladies :smitten:). an also UP is not limited to Agra... fatehpur sikri, lucknow, varanasi are all very popular tourist destinations

Forgot to mention Allepuzha .. Really liked Kerala best so far in India,People are the best there.. Goa is just a more crowded/messy south west Sri Lanka with hoards of Russians and really unfriendly locals, Bangalore was the best city i visited and do visit often, Love the vibe in Bombay except for the crowds

Worse off is Culcutta.. Top of my lists in the sub continent yet to visit is Kashmir, Ladakh, North Eastern India(Not Assam), Gandhara, in Pakistan,(Been to Karachi and Lahore) ,Katmandu and probably Bhutan

Been to the Maldives and Dhaka
