Oh geez!!! I will have to look through my previous posts for that:
I replied to your post with the State Department's clarification to which you replied:
You are very fond of this "for public consumption" argument, aren't you?
I am beginning to suspect that you're using reverse psychology to get Indians to accept defeat on this incident!!! :P
Either that or you're deliberately choosing to be dismissive about actual evidence that doesn't fit with your preconceived narrative on the matter.
You were previously...
Nah, I don't think so. Although, it is fitting that the BJP called a spade a spade. They are the ones who are going to eventually benefit from this incident.

The latest on the diplomatic spat:
Khobragade on immigration watch list, faces arrest in U.S. - The Hindu
Domestic consumption or not, Salman Khurshid promised a formal apology and all charges dropped with regards to the case. Neither happened and he should be taken to task for the same. The jury is still out on the "real diplomacy" that some are speculating. I can't comment on conspiracy theories...
You think that every other Indian minister would have vowed to never foot back in Parliment before resolving the case?
Every other Indian minister would have arrogantly released sound bytes proclaiming "who is Preet Bharara and why should I care about him?" I'll bet he will never forget that...
You are repeating the same point I was making. Had India merely looked to extract Devyani out of the scandal as the priority, this could have been wrapped up much sooner. But we were looking for far larger payoffs(like all charges to be dropped) and failed in securing any of the demands that...
My point was that India was looking for far larger payoffs(something everyone is conveniently forgetting) than simply getting her visa accepted by US officials. We huffed and puffed but finally settled for a ticket back home. Had we started with the request for a ticket back home from the...
Unlikely. All the political grandstanding, "mere regret won't cut it" speeches, vowing to never step foot in Parliment and the witch-hunt aimed at Preet makes it highly improbable that India(the Congress Government) knew what it was doing. Why not take the call expressing regret at its face...
I wasn't disputing that. I was disputing your contention that India exactly knew what it was doing and the State Department was "in on the act." In reality, India exhausted all options, even appealing to the US courts for an extension before flying her out when that too was dismissed. It...
It was revealed she did have full immunity(which was missed by US authorities and India as well) well before the incident transpired. In addition, she was already accepted by the UN permanent mission. She could have returned much sooner had India willed, there was no reason to stick around till...
How can it be seen as a fold yaar? The United States deliberately mistreated Devyani who had full immunity even before the incident , agreed to none of the demands made by India, and got away scot free as not a single member of the American Embassy stands accused in our courts as was threatened...
Oh please. They could have transferred Devyani back to India(effectively ending the spat) the second they moved her to the permanent mission. Why the last minute evacuation? They expected the Americans to fold and the Americans didn't. This was less bazaar haggling and more of how a cop throws...
What India wanted was all charges dropped and an unconditional formal apology. It got neither and we were unsuccessful in even getting an extension from the courts. I'll leave it to you to figure out who miscalculated their clout and lost and what Americans really think of the "Indian relationship."
Therein lies the rub. Why must there be any consequences at all? To claim that every Muslim is on the same page when it comes to his/her faith is a bit exaggerated.
All religions represent debunked superstitions and heavily rely on liberal interpretations to survive . Islam is no different than...
For starters, the probability that Pakistan would lose such a case is extremely high. Remember how you folks threatened legal action against the BBC but never went through with it? Lene ke dene parh jaayenge.
Source? What exactly do you know about the affair? It's mentioned in the very case which was registered:
Sangeeta Richard’s husband Phillip in a petition to Delhi HC
”The treatment of Sangeeta by Devyani Khobragade is tantamount to keeping a person in slavery-like conditions or keeping a...
