IAF Missiles, Bombs, PGMS and Munitions on the MiG-21/27/29, M2K, MKI and LCA.

Was going to put it up over there, but that list also has IN missiles including SAMs, sub launched AShMs, LACMS and whatnot. Just wanted to keep a separate thread for IAF munitions in service with their fixed wing aircraft.

IAF Missiles, Bombs, PGMS and Munitions on the MiG-21/27/29, M2K, MKI and LCA.

I've tried making a list of munitions used by IAFs 7 primary fixed wing fighters (Su-30MKI, Mirage 2000, MiG-29, Jaguar, MiG-27, MiG-21 and Tejas). All the weapons listed here have either been photographed on that particular IAF aircraft or acknowledged to be integrated by the IAF officially...

Indian Air Force's Mirage 2000H/TH's SPICE 2000 PGMs The Rafael SPICE 2000 is an electro-optically guided munition with additional GPS and inertial guidance methods. It's based on a 2000 pound bomb body (Mk.84, BLU-109 or RAP-2000) hence it's 2000 designation. The bomb has an advertised range...

Okay Quite a few of these AK-63Ds were acquired by India during the 80s. EDIT : Never mind those are regular AKMS only, not AK-63Ds.

Thanks, I was looking for a photo of the AK-63D with the NSG. India had acquired a sizeable amount of AK-63Ds from Hungary pre-IPKF or during that time.

Dassault Rafale, tender | News & Discussions [Thread 2]

A bunch of horse-crap. It's still using the DASH III. There are no bolts on the back of the TARGO HMS and it's visor interface is different. These are from the R-73 shoot in April 2013. From Aero India 2015. From Bahrain 2016. From this video you can correlate the back of the...

2nd ship of India's new destroyer line, the Visakhapatnam-class, will be launched on Sept 17

It would seem the Mormugao would go for a different Bow sonar. The P15A and Vizag have the HUMSA-NG mounted in the bow. While the P15 has a keel mounted sonar. Edit : NVM it's the bow mounted HUMSA-NG only.

    Another AK Clone

The TAR looks like a Bulgarian AR M1 clone. You can differentiate between the new TAR and Ghatak 1)Milled receiver (seems logical to go this way since OFT has the milling equipment) on the TAR instead of stamped steel receiver based on the INSAS of the Ghatak. 2)90* gas block of the AR M1 on the...

Indian Navy special forces to get 177 sniper rifles

I 'noted' it's for the MARCOS. These aren't classified details, acquisition of a weapon system under a tender isn't a classified detail. I've never seen a OSV-96 used by the Navy. Heard about the deal but it probably never occurred anyway.
