Funny story, I was looking through these (above) Iranian rifles with ranges of 1500-2000m. few days ago, and thought Iran needs 3+ km. rifle. Guess what, a day later Iran announces it, that was fast ;) Impressive gun, not many of such class are produced around the World.

Depends if its on reconnaissance or bombing mission, UAVs arent for intelligence gathering-only. Even for reconnaissance, you dont have to have 24/7 connection with UAV, not even US have that. While on the fly monitoring is handy, data gathering and uploading after return has its uses as well.
