I read this article in DAWN newspaper today. This article is about some americans discussing among themselves the possible future course of action by our friend China. Nothing concrete here but some speculative ideas which should not be taken too seriously.
Dr. Samar is retired now. Let him bask in the glory of the bygone days. His work has given us some breathing space and time. What he said may be relevant today but in a few years time, game changing technologies will make his hard work redundant.
As an example today US has started testing laser...
Well said. Dams have been neglected by our government. Allah has given us rivers, mountains and plenty of places to build dams. Dams do require a high initial construction cost but they pay for themselves in a few years and the rest is bonus. It is up to people in power to take the decision.

Ormara is in the center of our sea coast. Almost equidistant from both Karachi and Gwadar. Both Gwadar and Karachi will haver some defence facilities but Ormara will be the main naval base. I believe our national defence planners made a very wise decision to build Ormara as the main naval base.
Pakistan will certainly make than 1000 planes. maybe in your lifetime. Today Pakistan is an emerging power and we should plan as such. Britain has Rolls Royce which produces engines. One day in not so distant future we will also have something equivalent to Rolls Royce. If anybody thinks that...
