Correct. Historically Jews were prosecuted in Europe and found shelter in Mid East.

British empire still exists in a some what mild form. Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Gibraltar & countless islands all over the world are still under English suzerainty (although some are Republics !). In fact British still has sway over more territory than Americans or Russians !

I would say Japan should also send a naval task force in the Mediterranean in response to ISIS killings of Japanese just like the French did deploying their carrier. This will allow Japan to expand it's sphere of influence/operation (if need be !)

Not select but elect. These regions should be allowed to elect via ballot a states (the state that wins the majority) that would represent the geographic entity. Regional power brokers supported by majority would eventually come out as winner and would represent the interest of the region...

My opinion UNSC should have 4 more permanent members one more from Asia, one from Mid East & North Africa, one from South America & one representing sub-Saharan Africa. This will ensure proper representation of the world and balance of power.

I don't think Turks consider themselves a ME state. As part of NATO their line of sight is the Balkan i.e. EU. No different than Russia which is a European world power even though most of Russian territory lies east of Urals in Asia (Siberia).
