Please don't get provoked by articles like this (this one is still mild compared to others out there). Read my post (post #4), it's not to change your opinion but to try and show you what I think is going on within (Turkish) media and how it effects all of us. Judging from your post you are...
The source in the original post (Hurriyet Daily link was missing) writes the following:
This is why I hate Turkish journalism. They actively do this (whether it's pro- or anti-government) and polarize and pit people against each other. Journalists need to first and foremost be ethical and...
That article you mention was from 2015. In July 2016 there was news about the guys from TRJet making deals with a Canadian firm for engines. But it's radio silent since October 2016. I do hope the project is still alive but the lack of news is concerning.

Awesome if the deal with Italy and France is true.
But what I wonder is, if it is for urgent needs, then why did they go for local development of the 4th battery for S400?
The second link you provided says that 2 of the prototypes are electric (one of them having extra range) and one of them gasoline. And that both electrical and traditional fuel based models are being considered (maybe they dropped the conventional fuel since then though, I don't really know, as...
Why is everyone focussing on the glass half empty side of things?
I'm sure TSK will buy the new products developed by Turkish companies in due time, when it decides to upgrade its current equipment. And we can talk all we want but TSK is in the best situation to decide when this will be.
That's what I hate about Turkish media. Pro and Anti-government media are actually hurting Turkey in a big way. Spinning it to the positive/negative isn't even the worst part, the worst part is that they demonize the opposing side. And it's showing in posts on this forum as well. I have read...
I was hoping they would make an airplane deal like this with Indonesia today (Temel Kotil of TAI did hint there were talks for a project with Indonesia), thanks for the post.
I do hope that this project isn't a replacement for the TRJet project, hopefully TRJet is still alive as well.
Tulpar looks good, eventhough Aselsan's vehicle looks similar to Kaplan vehicles, imho Kaplan vehicles look way cooler than anything out there.
Btw Bismarck, slightly offtopic here, but does Volkswagen have any military projects or contracts? How about Opel and BMW?
About the 13 demands. First of all most, if not all of them are demands stripping away Qatar's sovereignty. But that's not even the worst part, in my opinion.
Among those demands, they want Qatar to shut down Al Jazeera. This demand alone make me think the leadership of KSA have lost their...
Apparently there is another Turkish company, besides E-Berk that makes these machines:
