Turkey attacks the YPG in Afrin canton. They're different from the other YPG on the eastern side which have American troops embedded with them, attacking those is a big risk. It's better to let Arabs deal with Raqqa since it's Arab territory, one way or another it's unlikely Raqqa ends up in...
You're unaware of IQAF aircraft providing CAS to Egyptian troops during the Israeli wars etc? Saudi hasn't done any of that.
Either way I didn't write this article, it's something happening at the political level. It's also connected to Russia-Syria-Iraq-Iran and Egypt etc..
Baghdad — On Oct. 17, Iraqi Oil Minister Jabar Ali al-Luaibi called on Egyptian companies to participate in oil investment contracts. He said during a meeting with the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad, Hassan Ahmed Darwish, “It is necessary to strengthen relations between Iraq and Egypt...
I think that the minister dismissals were great (apart from the defense minister who was a good one in my opinion). The finance minister (A foreign monkey with family ties to Barzani) was corrupt and unable to answer for his spendings during a parliament hearing. What comes in 2 years is unknown...
Well seems like Turkey is very interested in what you call a shithole. War destroys but it can be rebuilt, that's not the issue and is a different topic.
Lt. Gen Townsend of the US says YPG will take part in Raqqa OP, they seek to start it soon yet there's no available force.. except for the SDF.
Seems like apart from them only the SAA could take part in it but they're busy with Nusrats.
Pakistan isn't that advanced either for a country of 160/180 mil, they still rely on US military aid for their equipment, nuclear tech is stolen and its a poor country still dealing with terrorism.
That's the first tank loss in quite a while during the long ongoing war. In this case it's not due to the crew being Iraqi, several Turkish tanks were destroyed in similar manner whilst they're barely operating in battle and nowhere near such a major IS stronghold.
Hopefully no crew was hurt...
Abadi is actually highly educated and acts in a rational matter unlike Erdogan who uses his emotions for politics. You're the one that thinks that, not him.
It resulted in a massive refugee crisis bringing more jihadis to Europe than ever before. I remember 2012 and 2013, it wasn't long ago but things were very different/safer in Europe. This might not affect the US much but it does affect Europe.

An elite unit of the Iraqi army paused its week-long advance on Mosul as it approached the city's eastern edge on Tuesday, waiting for other U.S.-backed forces to close in on Islamic State's last major urban...
CTS/ISOF is already near Mosul city entrance having to wait for other regular forces. This force is impressive

I'm actually secular and from a Sunni background, politically I may seem like a Shi'ite because I haven't sided with the 'tribal revolutionaries protecting poor Sunnis from evil Shia Iraqi army which turned out to be IS'. Ur leadership is sectarian, you're not them.. but this isn't about us...
Iran actually respects Iraq's sovereignty far more than people think. Iran is against Iraq's cooperation with the US yet Iraq still does. Iran offered troops to Iraq for the fight against IS, Iraq denied they respected the decision. It's only natural that Iran will have influence in Iraq given...
If that's true it's sad, at a huge cost.
I remember Iraqi politicians demanded the PMF to retreat, US promised increased air support if they would retreat... thus they retreated then this happened. Either way Ramadi is already retaken but damaged.. This doesn't happen anymore.
Kurds enjoyed...
