My comment was regarding the US condition of no veto. As far as china is concerned, the alliance of India, Japan and Germany is a difficult trio for china to brush aside.

US may not be able to convince the same for Germany and Japan. USA wants India to play a larger role in South China Sea, Afghanistan and ME. India wont do that till it agrees on a full fledged UNSC seat. If they want something, they will have to give something up.

Never underestimate others. China would be the last country to understimate a major power right next door.
