A man was killed and 20 others were injured when a mob vandalised and torched Hindu houses in Thakurbari village over a reported Facebook post
Abhijit Chattopadhyay, assistant high commissioner of India in Rajshahi, visited at Thakurbari village of Rangpur sadar upazila on Monday morning where villagers attacked the Hindu-dominated village and vandalised and torched houses of the Hindus.

He went to the village around 10:12am and stayed there for several minutes, said police.

However, he refrained from speaking to journalists.

Earlier on Friday, a man was killed and 20 others, including four policemen, were injured when a mob vandalised and torched Hindu houses in Thakurbari village over a reported Facebook post by Titu Chandra.

Over the issue, around 8,000 people from nearby villages marched towards Thakurbari village, a Hindu-dominated village and vandalised and torched 8-10 houses of the Hindus.

Police on Saturday morning filed a case with Gangachhara police station against more than 2,000 people, including 25-30 named ones.

I fail to understand BD logic.

I don't remember 3000 people, mostly from a minority, killed in a matter of days ever in Bangladesh, nor daily lynchings of innocent humans, again always from a minority, happening in BD. If anything, it is Indian police who should take some lessons from BD police.

Because in India hindu police is as communal as any hindu rioter terrorist belonging to RSS, VHP etc.

Hashimpura happened in India and not BD after all.

On the night of 22 May 1987, 19 PAC personnel, under platoon commander Surinder Pal Singh, rounded up Muslims in the Hashimpur mohalla in Meerut. The old and the children were later separated and let go. They allegedly took about 40–45 of them, mostly day wage labourers and weavers, in a truck to the Upper Ganga canal in Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad district instead of taking them to the police station. Here some were shot, one by one, and thrown into the canal. A bullet also injured one of the PAC constables. After some were killed, the headlights of passing vehicles made PAC personnel flee the spot with those alive. Four of those shot escaped by pretending to be dead and then swimming away. One of them filed a first information report (FIR) at the Murad Nagar Police Station

I would dig my head in sand when a BD teaches me about Gujarat riots.

Buddy, I have read the enquiry reports, from beginning, I can quote the whole news reports in 2002, SIT and CBI reports. But I prefer not to since, the same internet is available on your side. And believe me, the police firing has killed many people. Including Muslims there is no point in counting the number of Hindu or Muslim they are Indians.

Now that, there have been numerous riots in India, not just one Gujarat riot, there was more than one major riot in Gujrat. While the Gujarat riot in 2002 get all the attention and it is the same reason why Modi is in power. He was under constant scanner under the congress he gained so much popularity for not because he was part of riot but every organization appointed by the government gave a clean chit to him. That's why the political parties since then stepped down from bringing Gujarat riots and Modi. He may be morally responsible, but evidence are not enough to pin him to riots directly. Or for instigating riots.
