News on the war counts as Syrian defense news though. the aleppo battle ending is still a very important keystone in the war and by extension of the Syrian armed forces.
I find it amusing that many of our members are currently wasting forum space by debating politics rather then posting news, pictures, videos and so on so forth related to the Syrian arab armed forces which was the whole point of this particular thread.
if you want to go complain about president...
But he didn't stay out of politics completely. Mattis was critical of the nuclear agreement with Iran negotiated by the Obama administration along with five other world powers, but conceded that with the U.S. public having little appetite to go to war with Iran, the deal may be "the best we...
What the analysts forgot is the fact that any "escape route" that was left open would just be used as a supply-line to rush troops and munitions to ISIS fighters (and possibly giving them a way to maneuver during the battle). anyone with a brain (not half a brain but the full thing) would tell...
the kurds held most of north Iraq in 2003 thanks to no fly zones and they did have plenty of clashes with the Iraqi army. likewise Iraq had to deal with their constant guerrilla hit and runs much like the FSA does to the SAA.
not too far apart only difference is that Iraq held more square miles...
did i ever deny victory was impossible?
i can't recall saying that, but i do recall you whining and crying about "western lies in Iraq" how turkey can unseat Syria in one day (impossible) and you seem to think the Russians wouldn't doing anything if turkey were attacking their bases in Syria...
you seem to have never heard of the kurds or the fact that most of the country turned on him when the first US troops began to move into Iraq.

yes and?
i wasn't talking about the political reason for the war, i was talking about the amount of time it took for the US armed forces to unseat the ba'ath government. i expected a much more.. strong response.:coffee:
now, now calm down my very aggressive semi-radical Sunni friend, turkey has the stronger army undoubtedly but now you are just empty boasting.
the US took longer then that to finish off Iraq what makes you think turkey can take Syria in less time with 1/6-9 of the force?
nobody likes sabre-rattling
true. some of the Turk ultra-nationalists are also out of line.. it's like they aren't even interested in scholarly debate but just want to fling crap around:disagree:.
We all have vastly differing interests but we are ultimately here to learn and share knowledge, not fight an online proxy...
he is kind of a hypocrite isn't he?
"we French can do no wrong!"
i don't hate France (in fact i kind of like france) but butthurt ultra-nationalist people like this really grind my gears.
Which plane exactly is my so called plane?
as if a group of child killers have never lied before . i don't blame you for trying to hide it but you guys do a very poor job with your propaganda at times.
the old ATGMs they mostly used were saggers, RPG-7s that one improvised RPG of theirs...
3rd gen fighters are easy. fourth gen not so much. Iran & south Africa have even produced 3rd gen fighters (like the saegheh & cheetah ) also kfir was basically just a retrofitted locally made mirage. not an independent design.
also where is the Lavi i don't see it in the israeli air force...
:haha::omghaha::cuckoo: you arent very bright are you. let me guess "everyone that disagrees with me is an iranian/****/turki muzzie subhuman" to you.
2. the USA and Soviet russia won the war. i agree. you however did nothing for most of it but beg the UK and US to invade Normandy. you made no...
in addition with having multiple palestinian friends that were expelled from their home country by the jews. i am not an iranian.
