Indian Air Force: We Don’t Need Iron Dome

While EMP is a bomb ( basically idea came from N-bombs), which emit electro-magnetic pulses which are to destroy every electronics. Jammers just emit the waves of particular frequency, which is enough to make enemy radar fool. DRDO was developing EMP bomb/warhead which can carried out by cruise...

India to use Russian avionics for future fighter: Official

Thats not 1st time. IAF also funded them for MKI & other projects which were already dead due to fall of soviets. Yes very little knowledge, but it will give high level of TOT which we can not find by any other means. We can upgrade them by our own/other nation help without permission of...

Why the Air Force Generals Want to Kill the A-10

MLRS/ARtillery have same concept & as I mentioned earlier they used for primitive strike not for CAS. Sorry for that. I actually want say about A10 range. A10 could be in spec-ops, asymmetric war. A10 can take too much punishment from low level air-defense, as you can see its survivalability...

Why the Air Force Generals Want to Kill the A-10

Yes it can. But if you will use PGMs in artillery than whats the basic profit if using artillery. MLRS is pretty much different concept & these basically use for primitive strike before charging on enemy just like artillery. In more, A10 can give you assistance deep in enemy territory while...

Why the Air Force Generals Want to Kill the A-10

Artillery, MLRS can not used for CAS. It could leads to miss targeting & can cause high friendly casualty. BTW A10 is better for CAS role compare to its counter parts like Heli, armed hercules against strong enemy.;) On UAV part, UAVs are still lagging in accuracy without PGM, although they...

    Aero India 2013

I think it is already dead in services, unless HAL want to develop it for export or tech innovation. ALH is doing greater, performing too many role, in other sense ALH eat LUH. Instead of LUH army should go for ALH & upgrade it by time-time.

T-129 Atak & Turkish Attack Helicopter Programs

8 missiles are sufficient for anti tank role. You dont have any enemy who has so much large tank fleet.:agree: There is no profit of 30mm gun in heli. Why you dont ask them that how many time they use 30mm gun against heavy armor. & T129 gun is enough for IFVs,APCs & infantry.

T-129 Atak & Turkish Attack Helicopter Programs

Why the Air Force Generals Want to Kill the A-10

:disagree::disagree::disagree: Just not COIN, but it is also ideal/best for CAS, anti-armor role. It is cheapest & less riskier way to destroy the formidable enemy. BTW instead of A10 I will put my money on either Su25( flying artillery) or super-tucano.

    AMCA configuration in final stages

The truth about mul tirole fighters---- fighter air-frames are usually exceptionally well suited to one task, reasonably good at a range of other tasks, and marginal for some tasks. :agree: The availability of sophisticated radars with integrated air-to-air and air-to-ground modes, mission...

    AMCA configuration in final stages

AMCA will be operational after 2025. We gave order to replace older migs by 2025. Upto that time we have ~200 fighters which also want replacement from service. IAF just not want replace older platform but also increase the strength. 300 FGFA+ 270 MKI+180 Rafale+200 LCA+ AURA, thats the figure...
