I always wondered, how did French manage to get into Indian defence market so heavy.
Our brothers British - couldn't make big into Indian defence market.
British had all the advantages such as: language, history, Indian diaspora, cultural ties, etc.
I believe it will be something like British Raytheon Sentinel?
Why choose Gulfstream G550 airframe not the Bombardier Global Express on which Sentinel is based on?
I believe, these 3 are in consideration:
Type 214 (Germany)
Scorpene class (France)
Amur-class (Russia)
Amur-class seems to me most favorable, as it can fire Brahmos and India already operate few Russian subs.
If it goes smoothly, may be after few years they (Indian and Russian Joint company) can start working on Ka-50 "Black Shark" for India.
Because once the framework is ready it's easy to move forward.
Are they offering Raven ES-05 AESA radar from Finmeccanica Sllex or PS-05/A from Ericsson?
Why not go for RBE2 AA from Thales. This is more stable radar.
Raven ES-05 has a detection range of 150 km, aerial targets >14 targets.
for RBE2 AA has a detection range of 200 km, aerial targets 40...
Why only think abut Rafale fighters... It also makes Falcon business jet, nEUROn (UCAV), and own Sogitec Industries SA which makes advanced avionics equipments, simulation equipment, 3D imaging, military flight simulators, and others imaging systems
I believe Indian Air force was looking for 6 refuellers - planning to buy either Il-78 or Airbus A330 MRTT.
I would suggest Boeing KC-46 Pegasus. Boeing has been very luck lately in Indian military hardware race in general.
Let's start with this.
F16 is NOT a obsolete fighter jet or less powerful fighter jet by any means.
It will be a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for Indian aviation sector to get it's hands on any technology involved.
A large number of F16 will be a great boost for her air force. Plus you cant ignore --...
I believe,
L&T has a tie-up with Navantia of Spain will offer = Juan Carlos I
Reliance Defence and Engineering Limited (RDEL) with DCNS of France = Mistral LHD (very likely, cause it is designed to accommodate Russian weapon system, As we all know Indian military loves Russian hardware)
The Indian Navy is scouting for seven "next generation" heavily armed Corvettes
- capable of carrying out surface-to-surface missile
- anti-submarine warfare operations
- wants the ships to be delivered from 2023.
- each corvette would cost about Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,800 crore.

Preparedness and actual war is two different things, missiles systems are not for surveillance purposes or to stop infiltration via sea.
It's for real war, which i believe no one is crazy enough to attack India. We already have enough problems already, Middle east thing, Korean issue, south...
Which system Indian navy is looking for?
Morinformsystem-Agat produces these 2 systems:
1) CLUB-M Multi-Purpose Mobile Coastal Missile System
Number of missiles on a self-propelled launcher - 6 [anti-ship missiles (3М-54KE, 3М-54KE1)]
Target range: 250 to 450km
2) BAL-E Coastal Missile System...
