Atomic bomb in hiroshima( Not for faint hearted)

Wonder if anyone has thought that perhaps due to the fearlessness of both Japan (in taking a hit) and US (in giving one) ensured that later on when USSR and USA both had nukes they actually did a lot to avoid this nuke war. Also this unequivocal win for US ensured that later Japs did not carry...

Indians and Democracy/Secularism - can someone explain something to me?

Secularism allowed the Indians of such diverse differences to live with each other. One just has to go into the history of philosophys and religions in India to understand this. And the structure of society is so malleable and dynamic that whole populations move from Pre-Vedic Hinduism to Vedic...

    India heavily Involved in Afghanistan

I doubt if the theory and practice of karma is going to be understandable to Pakistanis, otherwise they would never have found themselves in such mess. And we should keep up our understanding of theory of karma, that only can save us from going the way of hate and cluelessness.

    India heavily Involved in Afghanistan

Better to provide useful civil development help then to supply weapons to a third world country with record as ......... (Nigerian Civil War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) But of course, Indians are wrong.

Jaswant Singh: Mohammed Ali Jinnah did not win Pakistan

Dah! obviously. Most old Indians and Young Hindutva supporters think Partition was to spite them. Ask me, the family that could kill each other when the family members were going out would only have fought on after 47 had they not partitioned. God knows best. And I agree with God everytime...

Jaswant Singh: Mohammed Ali Jinnah did not win Pakistan

BJP has the strongest factional fighting of all the parties right now. Its actually Jaswant vs. Advani. Last Advani was matted by his detractors, this time Jaswant. Ask me, BJP has lost the plot. They cannot get the social agenda (nil) to gell with there economic agenda (still there under...

More bad news for Delhi: Mig 35s delayed by a decade

::LOL: I didnt. Jokes apart I think we should by Typhoon if the order is finalised tomorrow. But since the delay is still expected and there is enough US investment in India (political+monetary+military) and no commensurate quid pro quo for them, I think Indians will takeup F-18. Indians...

Indias 8,000km and 12,000km Ranged missile, Surya1 and Surya 2

Our Cryo is 7.5 ton. Russian were offering 10 tons the moment they saw Indians reach 7.5 tons thrust. Indians refused as taking the Russian tech now would have meant killing the indigenous effort. I personally believe that for important tech we should go alone or only work in equal partnerships.

Indias 8,000km and 12,000km Ranged missile, Surya1 and Surya 2

I doubt if it is under development. What is the point (even brownie points can be better scored in other ways)

Jaswant Singh: Mohammed Ali Jinnah did not win Pakistan

Jaswant Singh has, by writing this book, made an attempt to do two things: (1) Rally BJP rank and file to his own side within the BJP. (2) Make Congress look like an ***. For (1) it is too late by around 20 years (1990-92 would have gotten better results for him) For (2) it is just too...

Seeking a fair deal for Muslims

Congress is a master of tokenism/populism. SP (Amar Singhs cause) has lost so many Muslim votes to Congress in 2009 and to Mayawati's BSP that they would raise anything and everything to survive. These tokenism has to be done away with. They are good only for scoring brownie points. The reality...

Indias 8,000km and 12,000km Ranged missile, Surya1 and Surya 2

Pakistan is so shallow. Even a UP ka bhaiya can take the Nuke on a Bullock cart. It is Pakistan that needs longer range missiles to reach the cities deeper set in India like Kolkatta. Though they could rely on the Chinese to do that for them given that Chinese have better missile tech.
