Yes lowrise region is more affordable (the operative word is "more") but single housing is also affordable for americans. Infact if capital controls (in their countries) are removed plenty of foreigners will lap up american housing. Again 17-18% americans live in apartments or condos.
My point...
US trade deficit is also due to fact that US does not allow china to invest or buy hitech goods including weapons. if both relations are completely normal - us will also be exporting a lot i think. But china may also export a lot of mobile phones or cars.
Infra needs for cities are also quiet complex and expensive. its far expensive to tunnel subways or expand city roads or provide piped water or gas to tall buildings. Cities also have higher policing needs due to far higher population density. Again i am not being dismissive of cities - they...
If suburbs are a ponzi scheme one would think 80 years is enough for it to blow up? instead millions more suburban houses are being built. I think this is as sham as the constantly hyped ghost cities in china. The choice between "vibrant compact" cities and spread out green and verdant suburbs...
Thats TCS revenue. Most of it is due to onsite people billing in onsite which RBI counts as "exports" despite money never touching india shore.
Your RBI claims for year 2019-20 (which is mostly in 2019) - software exports are $128 billion of which US share is 55.6% or some $72 billion. You can...
India's service exports are garbage accounting. India claims software exports to usa in excess of 100 billion USD but US reports less than a third of such imports from india. If india really ran such service surpluses as it claims would Trump be so quiet? he even got them to reduce tarrifs on...
ok - i read in a travel advisory block that the sewage system in china still cant handle toilet paper. i have plans to visit china that would be a major turn off for me. good to know thats not the case.
Great post. This shows how indian state deals with indian poor and lower caste women. its not just muslims. the innate cruelty of a hindu must be exposed. By hindu i primarily mean brahmins and associated castes.
You got it right. And so is hindi by the way - its counter revolutionary language essentially based on urdu to establish a hindi brahmin bureacracy in india. How you see them depends on your morals and attitude.
I despise both of them - as they are languages of power not people.
Languages...
May not be popular opinion. But hindi/urdu are indeed two sides of same coin and i dont like both. They have always been lanugages of power and to invent/establish a identity. They are never the voice of people like punjabi or sindhi or tamil or bengali are. When urdu fought with bengali - urdu...
Whether china will win is yet to be seen but "everything is polarized" is not true. Recently for corona relief bill or war bills etc are always almost unanimously approved. People disagree because there are genuinely valid poitns on both sides. Ofcourse sometimes they disagree for drama.
Not really - just take out the brahmins and few allied castes - most have no heart in fighting battles against islam or others. and most are localized to their language groups. it is not very smart to make 1.3 billions as enemies. Look at fault lines.
whats the equivalent of google maps in china ? i thought it was baidu and like google maps uses american satellites i assumed baidu uses beidou (why such a complex hard to pronounce spelling in english) network of satellites.
I compared google maps with baidu maps which i believed as apples to...
I have seen on laptop with very high speed internet. And i just checked now again. compared to google maps satellite resolution 9especially 3d mode - baidu is several notches below. Look at how they show mahattan and how baidu shows pudong in 3d mode.
Solving poverty is straightforward but not easy. China certainly organized a billion plus people effectively to do it. But prosperity - especially quick prosperity is neither easy nor straightforward.
Theoretically china state guided route can work. But we have seen some practical difficulties...
