The Indian Air Force (IAF) began trials for the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter last week. IAF sources confirmed that the aircraft, which is competing with the Russian Mi-28 for the IAFs tender for 22 attack helicopters, has already completed trials in...
Indian Air Force May Order Additional 57 Hawk Advanced Trainer

Will these features be available for the Indian version or is it offered only for other future exports? If it is offered to India, were these features already available at the time of evaluation?
I agree with you completely. It may be the better than most in air-to-air combat, but even the Gripen has a better strike capability. Why go for Typhoons when we already have Su-30MKIs? I think the Rafale or F-18SH offer the IAF just what they want - a superb strike platform which fares well in...

Sorry, I didn't know it was posted earlier. Won't happen again!
P.S. I am not of the opinion that the Rafale is superior to the F-22. I too agree that the F-22 is the most advanced and most expensive fighter in service today.
Sorry to barge into your err... "debate", (or maybe a "heated discussion" is more appropirate?);) but I thought it would be good to post something I found.
I don't know anything about the Rafale being invisible to the F-22, but...
Now I don't mean to say that the Rafale is superior...
So are you suggesting that even 40-50 year old aircraft and brand-new state-of-the-art aircraft will have the same rate of crashes? I find it very hard to agree to that. BTW, did I ever say that new aircraft are immune to crashes? I only said that the crash of a J-10 cannot be compared to the...
This shows that the two aircraft have been designed for two different roles:
F-35 (5th gen): Primarily for strike capability with secondary air-to-air capability.
Su-35 (4.5 gen): Primarily for air-superiority with secondary ground attack capability.
So how can two aircraft of two different...

Even new aircraft are sometimes lost in crashes. But that does not prove that the aircraft or the airforce operating them is inferior. There are a variety of factors leading to a crash like mid-air collisions with birds or human error.
Can you name atleast one air force which has not crashed...
