Best of luck on the Olympic bid, and congrats on a successful Asian Games
P.S. If Indonesia were to win, I think it would be the 1st Muslim majority nation to host the Olympics

South Korea’s captain Son Heung Min and his teammates will avoid military service with victory...
I don't know if this is true, but someone once told me that more languages are spoken in Queens than are officially recognized by the UN.
And most important for me, they brought their food w/ them :welcome:
Saw in some other threads, guys are going to town on Vietnamese members, for the life of me can't figure out why. I can almost understand Chinese & Vietnamese going at each other, long-standing beef, but other flags are ganging up on them too, that I'd normally think had nothing to do w/...
Dude...
An idyllic dip in the ocean off the coast of Massachusetts turned into an actual nightmare for 61-year-old William Lytton earlier this month. Without warning, a massive shark thought to be a great white snatched Lytton in its powerful jaws, and his quick thinking is probably...
Which S Koreans are you referring to? Those internet trolls I mentioned? They hate everything, and if they can't find a good reason they'll make one up. I've been trying to tell you, S Koreans don't hate China en masse, but you keep insisting they do, so who are these guys you've been talking...
Omg, are you sure you're not leaving anybody out? There's gotta be someone left to hate :laughcry:

Moving into the philosophical, but that was a cool clip 8-)
From what I heard, Iranian ground forces were having a tough time of it early on, but a bright spot was the air force. A lot of those pilots had been jailed by the post-Revolution gov, but when called to do their duty, they defended...
One more match to go! (against Japan, always Japan...) I hope Vietnam wins the bronze, they've been such a feel-good story :toast_sign:(no offense to UAE folks, that was a tough loss against Japan).
One other player worth keeping an eye on is Lee Seung Woo, has 3 goals so far. He used to be...
This is true, yes. In the case I presented above, about the talent discrepancy, maybe less so. Really gifted northern athlete, w/ no equivalent in the south, etc
Haha, no I'm not claiming twice as high, just more :P
Yeah, there's truth to that, I was just having fun w/ the numbers :-). The bottleneck tho isn't so much # of slots available, as it is # of events; there's only one gold for each, no matter how many athletes you throw at it (particularly in China's case).
If Korea were unified the talent pool...
