As I said France and UK have many advantages over Japan...but still all they can do is follow the US and do limited military operations in their former colonies. So being like these two countries is far away for Japan, and even if you succeed, you will not be able to do anything really...

In ASEAN only Philippines and Vietnam are hostile to China. Vietnam is trying to make things better. So it leave us with just the Philippines. That's the reality.
