But as Niceguy says, you have war with Thailand at Cambodian-Thailand border in 1980s.. Definitely Vietnam is independent in 1980s.. Vietnam troops appear at somewhere far away from VN and have war with Thailand..

I would say Vietnam government also thinks like majority VN member here.. Yet as government, it can collect much information and stay calm from doing something stupid While VN member here has no limit at all.

I think it is my conclusion reading so many post from Vietnam member.. of course it only reflect the feeling of these Vietnam member here Vietnam government is much smarter than members here..

But what transferred to Vietnam is still very low end industry which cannot survive the not so high salary in China. You are still far away from a strong industry which China is now building,,

US and Russia can eliminate the world with their nuclear weapon.. China can destroy around 200 cities.. India can destroy a few cities.. But I think nobody is crazy enough to start a nuclear war...

China is also suffering from high inflation. But probably 10% every year, 100% per year is horrible.. We also like gold. But usually we only buy a lot of gold for wedding. Normal spending on gold is not much, probably 20-50 gram a year. Yet with my income, I can only buy 500-600 gram of gold...

You are right. Investment is a big problem for most developing countries.. China tried many ways to collect money for infrastructure. like charged high way, national loans. If the political issue is not that bad between China and Vietnam, it will be much easier to get China`s loan and support...

China has a bigger population and market. So even outside demand decrease, huge internal demand can still support economy and employment.. For Vietnam, I think it still need to improve the facility, power supply, transportation.. If Vietnam can do it, at least economy will increase a lot.

You are right. Yet Guangzhou is the only super city I have not visited yet.. I like Cantonese food very much I visit Shenzhen many times, but Shenzhen is completely different from Guangzhou.
