Bangladesh will not tour pakistan Bangla Court

Again, the issue is more political than security. Nations safer than India have not been able to hold international tournaments due to various reasons (Iran because it goes against the West, Zimbabwe because of dictatorship under Mugabe, as well as many other examples). It's not a big deal. In...

Bangladesh will not tour pakistan Bangla Court

Tell me, why did Bangladesh Cricket Board send a team to rigorously assess the security situation in Lahore, & were satisfied with the security arrangements in place? The issue is not security, but a political one. Just like the security of Iran is better than India's, but they do not hold...

Bangladesh will not tour pakistan Bangla Court

The Ahmedi gun attacks took place in May 2010. From May 2010 to April 2012 (last 2 years), Lahore has been more peaceful than the two cities. Secondly, it is Shahbaz Bhatti & Salman Taseer, not Shahbaz Taseer. Both of them were in Islamabad. 2011 Lahore had less casualties from terrorism than...

Bangladesh will not tour pakistan Bangla Court

If the security situation of Lahore is bad, then it is even worse for Delhi & Mumbai, which has seen more casualties from terrorism in the last 2 years than Lahore has. Secondly, what was the point of the Bangladeshi team visiting Pakistan to assess the security situation, and then giving the...

    WHERE IS OUR YELLOW RIBBON

I think this is a much needed initiative that needs to be taken. I think monetary contributions can also make a difference. This is a small token of our appreciation for the people that out forward their lives to protect us everyday.

    The Russian visit

India's relationship with Russia today is purely an economic & transactional one, not a geopolitical strategic one. Russia supplying majority of its arms to India is from an economic POV. India's relationship with the Soviets in the 70s & 80s was geopolitical strategic, & with Russia in the 90s.

    Bold Bollywood ?

I would not call 'indecency' (although what ever floats your boat, freedom of choice) boldness. I would call a movie that touches sensitive topics, & the ills of one's nation/society boldness. Movies like Bol, Saving Face etc are bold. Not Murder or the movie mentioned by the OP.

    The Russian visit

Just because India imports Russia's (export) arms in huge number does not mean they share the same geopolitical strategic objectives in the region. For example: the US supplies about 50% of the world's arms today, does it mean it shares the geopolitical strategic objectives with the countries...

Russia-China victory in Syria a sign of declining US power

I think the people who accuse me of supporting the killings of Syrians (I do not support their killing, but they must surrender their arms, stop accepting foreign support/intervention, & stop the violence against the government) should look at what is happening in Bahrain currently. We already...

    The Russian visit

Looks like India's relationship with Russia is transforming from a strategic one (with the Soviets, & Russia in the 90s), to a transactional one. Russia needs to sell its arms, from an economic POV, & India being the 2nd largest country in the world, & the biggest arms importer in the world...
