Well, then why is Thailand so close to the United States in the first place?
Personally, I don't think North Korea will be much of a threat either way...but I think I can understand why the West is nervous. What good is having one of the world's largest armies if the populace is starving?
The Republic of China has been a long-time partner of Saudi Arabia...the PRC, not so much.
I don't see any harm in better ties, though, it would be good for both sides.

Whatever the case, whether it was for more oil imports from the Middle East or for liberty and justice for all...the US should NEVER have invaded Iraq. Period.

Democracy at its idealism is indeed admirable. But the current American government, and its outlook...is very self-destructive. Without a second revolution, very little will change. People need to wake up.
Why are there so many rapes, so little sanitation, and so much poverty in India's current democracy? I respect the fact that India has managed to overcome its caste system and all that...but, honestly, its domestic situation is not a good one.
