What went wrong was 1977-1979, Zia ul-Haq comes to power in a coup and hangs Bhutto, Iranian Revolution in 1979 and Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. That caused Pakistan to become a radical, intolerant, pseduo-jihadist state and whose price which we are still paying today.
