A very prudent judjement I must say......in India, such an incident would have been considered as crime against women, the media would have gone berserk, political parties would try to score 'brownie points' by deriding each other, common people would hold candle light vigil against police...
My view is obviously going to be influenced by the situation in my country.....and yes, corruption is rampant in India, if it's any different in your country, you may point out.....
Unlike in India, Chinese political workers(especially those belong to the lower strata) are not filthy rich with black-money......they have death-sentence for corruption you know!....but the power/clout is same I guess.
Indians should understand that Pakistanis are a bunch of martial races , so the number of POWs in 1971 is bound to reach 00009 one day.....it's no use arguing.
The word 'Hindu' is kind of misleading here.....it's just giving women more constitutional rights if they married following Hindu rituals.
In India we have 'Hindu Marriage Act'(which ofcourse is incredibly biased towards women)...
Muslims follow their own Law board, AIMPLB.
