Only time will tell, who is a pawn and who is a master. But I know one thing about IK. i.e He's not a horse to easily ride on... the master knows that very well too.
IK and his party has already made clear and in a way warned the so called 'angels' to not dream of any wishful happenings. In view of IK's statement, your argument of him being a 'pawn' is flawed.
