Osama bin Laden supported, funded Nawaz Sharif: Ex-Pak envoy Abida Hussain

There are several allegations against PMLN and PPP, and PTI has been pressing the ECP to investigate the claims against them. Not sure if the above is one of them, but it should be.

Osama bin Laden supported, funded Nawaz Sharif: Ex-Pak envoy Abida Hussain

Nawaz's career was spawned from Zia ul haq's political engineering, then the establishment overthrew BB and helped him win an election via campaign funding and political engineering (PLD 2013 SC 1), as well as alleged rigging. The Osama funding theory is possible, but ECP rules apply as of the...

Great news as Pakistan set to host England Cricket Team after 17 years | PTV | 2022 .

Nice! Int’l cricket still hasn’t properly returned to Pakistan. Should be a big boon for the PCB, media outlets and cricket in general.

ECP finds PTI guilty of accepting prohibited funds

Makes no sense to punish or ban the party for this. Just question and act against those who knew they were violating the rules and submitted false documentation knowingly. Impose a fine and confiscate funds. Not sure if more is warranted pending the outcome of the show cause.

    I miss Pervez Musharraf

It’s pretty simple, but the truth is never acknowledged. The army controls these matters, ever more so the case back then. US drones flew with our “consent” or by our request. Our defence and a large part of our foreign affairs are not handled by the PM’s office, let alone defence minister...

ECP finds PTI guilty of accepting prohibited funds

Show cause is the next logical step, but I don’t think the ECP has the authority to ban PTI.

How that conversation went: “Im going to speak to the IMF myself.” - Chief “OK Sir. [saluting]” - Prime Minister “Dismissed.” - Chief

    I miss Pervez Musharraf

By the way, do you know who controlled drone use policy in Pakistan for the entirety of the use of drones? I hate to have to ask such a simple point, but your last post left me in doubt. It wasn't the civvies, they're far too stupid to be allowed to manage defence and foreign affairs.

    I miss Pervez Musharraf

Aye yeah, F the civvies, most especially the ones I don't like. Under glorious brave commando Musharraf, much of FATA was surrendered to the TTP and they were boasting of controlling swat, bombing cities at will and collecting bhatta all the way to Attock.

    I miss Pervez Musharraf

Nice, but would you be able to defend his record here? You may be very knowledgeable but his record is abominable and hard to defend. I doubt you could do it here, it's an uphill and thankless task. Like I said, he started and lost a poorly planned war while simultaneously undermining a peace...

Try addressing the points made rather than being angered. Learn about the guy you've been trained to fawn over.

    I miss Pervez Musharraf

True. He is that. He is also a guy who started and lost a conflict because he wasn't prepared for the consequences, while simultaneously undermining a political dialogue and peace process, he's a guy who violated his oath and committed a coup to save himself from what should have been a court...

I love his last act best personally. While every politician in PK accuses the other of US backed coup accusations, Musharraf would have actually done it:

Names of judges suggested by CJP rejected

I have listened to the whole meeting. This is an incorrect narrative. You should listen to the whole thing, and see how especially that deferment came about. In the letters written by Justice Isa and Justice Masood, they demanded release of the minutes. Here's a summary: Justice Retd. Sarmad...

Names of judges suggested by CJP rejected

Merit is a key consideration, but so is seniority and so is representation. There’s a case to be made the seniority is not important, but that’s not the discussion here. Pakistan’s apex court also needs to show judges from each of the provinces, and nobody’s saying that seniority is the ONLY...

Names of judges suggested by CJP rejected

You did not. I’ll state them again for you: Why the three most senior judges in Sindh have been passed up thrice. What violation of merit would happen by appointing them? Why the 4th, 6th and 7th nominees in your view are more deserving? Please detail the case on merit. I bet you don’t even...
