“Let’s be honest, Turkey stopped the fall of Tripoli,”

France, the shitty nation that still acts like a colonial power. Needs some more whoop @ss.

2 years of the Imran Khan revolution

Volatile has a history of being caught posting Indian garbage as news and as "facts". Here he has taken to Talat Hossain of all people.

PNS Azmat Class - Fast Attack Missile Craft | Updates & Discussions.

Well, even I would like that but there are technical parameters that we civies and non architects don't understand. Like what happens if you put a heavy 1130 instead of 30mm SMASH? What happens to sea keeping characteristics or even basic design stability. Remember, these are steel vessels...

China to supply 4 attack drones to Pak, prompts India to revive Predator-B plan

Pakistan has pretty talented drone makers and recently drones were exported, being competitive internationally. It is a shame that PAF is choosing to go with a Chinese drone "jointly produced" rather than giving its industry a boost - instead, killing local industry, as with no support from...

Featured Pakistan Navy Type 054AP Frigates - Update, News & Discussion

The only downside is that KSEW is pretty inefficient compared to Chinese yards meaning costs will be higher, induction will be slow. While China may be offering some very attractive financial options and produce the frigates like biscuits in a factory.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

I went through her posts and she said they will be made operational after block 3.

PNS Azmat Class - Fast Attack Missile Craft | Updates & Discussions.

According to Bilal Khan 777 who did a technical analysis of the ship, they don't have the structural capacity to be enlarged (they have already been enlarged from the base architectural design to max). I've still added 4 feet, since a marginal change (in my mind) is still possible.

PNS Azmat Class - Fast Attack Missile Craft | Updates & Discussions.

Would be hard for me to make an estimate as I don't know current prices and there are a lot of intangibles such as scale of local production of subsystems (larger the scale, greater the economies). Also no idea how much Turkish CIWS cost. If Pak produces 10 - 20 units (and manages to export...

Featured Pakistan Navy Type 054AP Frigates - Update, News & Discussion

@Khafee suggests AW-101 from Italy. Ark Angel also reported that Pak is now exporting UAVs (UCAVs?) to Saudi Arabia and won against competition from Western systems. Ark Angel: Pak hypersonic development has exceeded all expectations.

Developments and Turkish operations in Libya

How is it that Western puppet governments and the West, like Egypt, France, can willy nilly attack sovereign recognized states and get no international response? F-16s are very sensitive to FOD. You need vacuumed runways for F-16s to operate from. I'd suggest Libya buys JF-17s ASAP, will give...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Thunder was developed in 2.75 years (See AVM Latif interview). Many subsystems were developed in parallel. surely tolerances were kept and subsystems like the landing gear, could have had room for improvement. If PAF wanted to increase Block 3 landing gear height be say, 2 inches, I don't...

Featured Pakistan Navy to build indigenously designed gunboat and tugs Gunboat possessing stealth features

I agree with your general viewpoint. A proper shipping and fishing industry, on contemporary lines needs to be set up. For this, Pakistan needs to give KSEW an organizational revamp - to be run on merit bases by naval engineers and architects, not semi-retiring officials. KSEW could be spun...

Featured Pakistan Navy Type 054AP Frigates - Update, News & Discussion

Interestingly sometimes similar things to what you are often saying : ) Massive expansion planned for PN. A new air wing something like a PLAN-AF with 150 total aircraft of all types. Very close cooperation (integration?) between PLAN and PN. J-15s in one more month will be in Pakistan...

PNS Azmat Class - Fast Attack Missile Craft | Updates & Discussions.

Interesting thoughts. Here is what I would do (bit similar to yours but different still): DJI drone AESA radar of Block 3 adapted to maritime use I'd go with your ASW solution Gokdeniz CIWS at A position and aft Local PDMS under development (reportedly progressing well by Ark Angel) Supposedly...

Featured Pakistan Navy Type 054AP Frigates - Update, News & Discussion

If China is serious about CPEC and bypassing the Straits of Malacca, they will need to protect Gwadar like nobody's business. By this logic, a massive PN upgrade is inevitable. And China would have to foot a good part of the bill. I'm in favour of a UAV carrier - a 5000-7000 ton vessel...

Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions.

I think the F-16s, particularly the older ones are pretty heavily used. With current levels of constant high alert against the Indian border, I doubt airframe life will remain for a good chunk of them by 2030. Already by 2025 Pak will begin to have problems. The airframe is not a simple...

Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

It doesn't have to be that way. With the JF-17 Block 3 subsystems, we are on par with basic 5th gen capability - data fusion, AESA, advanced data links, EW. All that is needed is a new airframe and a more powerful engine. The latter is readily available with the now mature WS-10/WS-15...

Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

This is not only abysmal for the country's development but also worrying for Project Azm. With the sheer scale and complexity, the number of subsystems will be well beyond PAC's ability to build, particularly if they are over ambitious, this could potentially cause Azm to fail.
