Yes. Pretty much. But problem is we don't operate those models of C-130s that can land on make shift landing strips ... C-130J has this capabilities and IAF has them. We are using older versions.
That i understand. My interest is in SSW's role in these exercises. PAF's offense will be in enemy's territory, right? now in that context, what role "boots on the ground" i.e. SSW will be playing. Only option i can think of is to recover lost pilots in enemy area. I don't think PAF is where it...
I am curious due the inclusion of Special Forces elements of PAF in this particular exercise. Other things are part of routine ops and improvement in operational plans. What possible roll SSW will be playing in an offensive op like Op Swift Retort in future?
It says offensive punch was tested...
Problem 1 : China does not use JF-17. It is a PAF specific fighter at least it started that way.
Problem 2: FC-20E is "Light Weight" fighter in Chinese categorization along with J-16 as medium and J-20 as heavy weight. It simply means, JF-17 is ultra-light weight by that categorization.
It...
Wish there was a video of few speakers … any how, a very nice initiative. CASS and CSSPR must organize more such events. From the report, to me the most important takeaway was the realization of requirement of a dynamic war fighting doctrine. Now saying it one thing but implementing something...
Certainly, those must never be discussed on public forum. I was only asking about the composition of Sq. 29. Read elsewhere that initially, it was formed with 8 F-16s with very specific mission goals and since then I wondered how a squadron can have such low number...
My guess is this 24 Block-70/72 to PAF is a US ploy to woo India in purchasing these jets in MRCA 2.0 if Delhi does not want Uncle Sam to provide these jets to PAF. A classic pressure tactic and nothing more! This also explains why PAF is mum about this and is keenly focus on Block-III.
If Turkey will be going to prototype phase in 2030 despite having sound economy and access to European tech, i wonder how much time Pakistan's efforts for the same would take? I think Pakistan must go for another JV with China for PAF-FGFA ... no need to repeat the mistake India made when She...
Looks like PAF is back to its game of appearing weak while being strong in front of all those Goras, hene only a handful of weapons were displayed and used during the demo.
And you will have your utter disappointment in first 50 seconds.
Earlier today, in office, I tried to watch it but soon I realized they merely captured just few impact shots ... i left it.
EnjoY!
Siachen will remain a distinct dream for Pakistan Army as long as they will keep ignoring the value of strategic and tactical airlift capabilities. Indian army logistics enabled it to capture Srinagar, Siachen and Kargil.
3 guided weapons on a single rack ... can this A2G configuration also be done with A2A Missiles on our F-16s? I know latest model like Block70/72 offer this sort of solution but not sure about Block-52s and MLUed.
OK Guys! What's wrong if actually better air force comes up with better videos as well? Just asking! It has been really long time, when we witnessed some quality work in these fire demos. Last one was High Mark 2015, as far as i can remember.
We need a video better than this one (I know it is from across the border, i am only sharing as reference point.)
PAF, USAF, IDF, TuAF, NATO ... because it has been first responder for top airforces of the world.
