What it comes down to is insecurity. In their heart of hearts they know the reality of their country, they know how bad it is and there is no improvement insight. To combat this melancholy they create delusions such as RAW/Mossad/CIA are keeping them down, or that they are somehow better than India, or even more sad, they take pleasure and pride in China's economic development vis-a-vis India.

They way they view CPEC as their saving grace is the culmination of these 3. They want to believe China will develop an economic corridor for them that will make Gwador better than Dubai (they actually said that), which clearly means they will leave India in the dirt.

Furthermore they link all terrorist attacks in their country (like the one that just happened) to India, USA,and Israel trying to stop CPEC from happening.
