Nice project and very ambitious. For comparison: Turkey planted 2.205.000 trees during the last 5 years.

I'm from Malatya. The city is situated at the foot of the Beydagi mountain. The gov't started a plantation campaign for this area couple years ago. Nobody believed that the trees would grow roots in this region because it is dusty, has a hard/stony underground, it is hot in summer and very cold during Winter time.







And now:


Large parts of Pakistan's north and west could become much more greener. I support this project. It's a good gift for your grandchildren.

It would be a better investment if they plant Mango, coconut and date trees and any thing else that will feed the hungry masses.

You are counting it as if only one person is planting. Its going to be done in 10000 parts and have budget of 1285 million. multiply one person with probably 10000 or 100000 and see the result.
I'm not very good at maths , hope I'm not embarrassing myself.

World average of forest area is around 26 %.
If you add Pakistan and India, its around 26 %.
Pakistan is much better than Qatar which is 0%. Egypt has 0.07%
Suriname has around 90 %.

Schools -> Hospitals ->Police-> Sehat Insaf Card ->Billion tree Tsunami->Peshawar Mass Transit ->Swat Motorway -> Circular Railway Project connecting Peshawar Noshera Charsadda Mardan
2.Punjab
Metro in Lahore -> Metro in Pindi/Isl -> Orange Line in lahore -> Metro in Multan-> now planting trees

We have enough schools and hospitals in Lahore/Pindi. So Metro was not so much out of the line.

It would also be great to see information campaigns stopping people from burning trees and other foliage down.

Pakistan only has=~5% Forest cover which is quite less in international standards and looking at the land and soil quality, yo guys can easily reach 20%.

You can take example of Uttar Pradesh where in 24 hours 50 million seedlings were planted which is a world record.
