Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping, Mir Hasil Bizenjo has demanded off the federal government on Sunday to postpone census until non-nationals present in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) exit the country.

Bizenjo has announced to take the matter to the Supreme Court (SC) and seek postponement of census in two provinces.

The federal minister has claimed that the government of KP led by Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak is not in favour of a census.

Besides moving to the top court, Bizenjo announced to raise the issue in Senate and National Assembly; however he did not state that the political party has boycotted the census.
Statement of the federal minister has come in a couple of days after Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa permitted provision of 200,000 troops for security purposes over country-wide census.

Last year in December, Supreme Court instructed the government to begin census by March 15 and conclude the process by May 15, 2017.

Well ANP and the other racist party from Balouchistan have a habit of settling Afghans in Pakistan to get free votes. They did that in Karachi very well, saw it with my own eyes, so I have no doubt they have been doing it in Balouchistan for years. For the first time in my life, I agree with this gentleman.

I can vouch for this that at least ANP in KpK and specially in Peshawar did not settle Afghans or for that matter ever got their votes.

ANP had never been in majority here.

BUT I am concerned about aliens getting accounted for in census if appropriate measure not taken beforehand.

ANP Karachi are polar opposites of ANP in KPK then. I haven't seen how the ANP guys from KPK are, but the ones they had in Karachi were known drugs/weapons with no ideological knowledge or background. One of my cousin's acquaintances was a well known ANP local leader and a known weapons smuggler who was killed in a shoot out with police a few years back. Land was routinely settled by Afghans and then up came the ANP flags and then the real owners of the land were left running for their lives or few braves souls scuttling to and from the courts.

And yes, extra measures should be taken against aliens registering themselves as citizens, also it's not just the Afghans. Karachi has a huge problem with illegals from Bangaldesh too. I really hope the government listens to the real concerns of people, I am all for a census. It's about time we had one, for a nation of our size and population, not to have a regular census is detrimental to planning of infrastructure and services.

well didn't chaudry nisar did something to locate fake I.d cards.....
and 7 lakh unregistered refugees have returned to Afghanistan , the bulk of which is from Pakistan .... They should expel the unregistered ones but I dont think they would expel registered ones in march , they would extend it to June I guess...
but they are registered and you can remove them from census if they are counted with fake I.ds ..how difficult would it be ....
everything is doable if you want to do it....
