This is all geo-politics and business, and none of the countries with big manufacturing will want to loose out on such a large market by not supporting India. We got access to Nuclear technology, without even signing NPT and CTBT, whereas the west hammered down China into signing all kind of regressive and one sided agreements on nuclear technology.

So much for the super high IQ Chinese, what India is trying to do is beyond their comprehension.

Talk is cheap. Where is the action from the P5 inviting India?

Why do chinese care about Indians and India, is it their insecurity that a Nation like India will overtake china or is it that CCP regime is too stringent on Chinese lives so that they are jealous of Indians???

PPP is an indication of the economy and the market it can create to the World. In present scenario wars are fought on economic fronts and being a big market a country like India being a consumption driven economy.

This bolded part is extremely important. You make a very good point.

Indians think their country is very important but the rest of the world don't hold that view.

To be respected in this world, it's up to India to convince the rest of the world that they should be taken seriously and be respected.

Every country thinks they are important but if the rest of the world don't consider your country important then it's irrelevant what you think of your country.

If your a sportsman and you think your the best player in the world but no one else thinks your the best, then it's irrelevant what you think about yourself.

The question is not whether the P5 want India, the question is whether they want anyone at all.The P5 countries (except china) are in a stage of decline, the rising countries brazil, india and the estlablished countries Germany now want their share in world politics.For india to get a permanent UNSC seat (it would be obviously without veto) will not be singular thing as UNSC expansion that i forsee will include all the above mentioned countries.People font realize that the major diplomatic oppsition to this move include African block, which wants to insert their own candidate in this fray.Can these countries sway that bloc in general assembly to get elected is the big question.

Yup, and this is one of their main weaknesses which prevents them from becoming powerful.

Their arrogance makes them blind from seeing the problems in their own country. This means those problems never gets solved as Indians don't consider them problems. They need to solve these problems to be powerful and respected but how can you solve these problems when they don't even consider them problems.

The arrogance of Indians is one of their biggest pitfalls.

India needs to build some toilets and stop its rape problems before thinking about UNSC seats.

India has no right talking about any geopolitical issues. They have staggering domestic issues such as caste system, rape, malnutrition, illiteracy, corruption, defecation, etc.

They need to worry about those problems rather than trying to be a false superpower.

Powerful countries will solve geopolitical issues, India should solve its domestic issues.

India is not even a regional power as we have more influence in South Asia than India.
