i suggest you to be a electronik one as it covers both software hardware and programming its really a multi dimesional and have a versatile look
though no job or future surity it depends upon you how much u exzel in it
and about developing computer sys let me tell you that it involves alot of different engineers
at a time you cant be master of FPGA C++ Control Micros VLSIs etc
but this would come later when u be an egineer i hope a good for you
