You can clearly see the intolerance of the people by their words and actions.
All religions especially monotheistic religions are intolerant to all other religious views that contradict their own.
This is why there are terms like unbeliever and kafir etc. Now people may disagree with me regarding kafir but we all know who are kafirs.
Now when religion is taken from the personal sphere to societal sphere, there is bound to be disagreements between people. Even people following the same religion will sometimes differ with each other. What is the punishment for disagreement and whose understand is correct is anybody's guess. So those who are forceful will enforce their understanding on others, thus creating more anger and discord in the society.
So let me conclude that religion is fine if confined to ones personal sphere, but when religion govern everything and everyone then there is a serious possibility of friction within the society.
