Modi interview with arnab

Here we go... Look at how polite he was when he constantly interrupted Kejriwal...

While talking to a PRIME MINISTER of country, certain dignity and decorum need to be maintained which was very well done by Arnab.

Its the chair which command respect.

You should not expect the same for the Pappus of world.

This video giving burns to pseudo seculars and fascist liberals with political agenda. These kind of people for their own benefit can go to any extend not caring about nation integrity or its development. For them their political party is above country. What this guy Modi did to them that they are after him just as he became Prime Minister, no idea. I am sure there has never been such blind hatred for a leader in history with no reason.

Considering it was the first in-depth interview in 2 years it lacked much substance but i think mr Modi conducted himself very well as the PM of India.

@Levina @PARIKRAMA @Parul @anant_s @Koovie @Echo_419 @dadeechi

@Abingdonboy @anant_s @PARIKRAMA
This what i gathered from his interview
1) He was (extremely) cautious when talking about China.
2) He justified his buddy Nawaz sharif's actions by saying "Pakistan has more than one authority which takes decisions- the elected govt and the other actors".
3) I liked his explanation on why he makes so many foreign trips? (however personal it might have sounded lol)
4) "We dont consider any country as small", most prolly Bhutan, Nepal and BD. @MBI Munshi ahemmmm!
5) Black money issue- what the govt has done,what it plans to do and why is taking so long? - I'm satisfied with his explanation.
6) GST bill > 40,000 crore rupees > Congress's hindrance and how delaying it is causing loss.
7) Election- Election commission should be conducting elections simultaneously in all the states. I'm not sure that's practical, albeit it sounds economical. From what i could comprehend, he said the elections in the center and state should be conducted at the same time. That would be an impetuous decision. Its like moving to a new house every 5 years. :/

You really think he believe what he says ... It is just PR.

Your assumption sire.:)
I guess you've not heard of Forum for India-Pacific Islands cooperation (FIPIC). Its a multinational grouping, includes India and about 14 island nations like Solomon islands,Fiji etc.
This is just one of the examples.

I think you did not get the point he was making.... It is not about money or the expense of election.... It is about the function of the government...... Every year you have some state going to election and that makes things difficult...... The suggestion he was making, was simple, have election together (both centre and state across) and then allow the governments to perform for 5 years with out any burden of upcoming elections (in nearby states)

Did he mean centre's election and state elections will have some gap?
Did i get it right this time?

No the question was on the impact of central govt of frequent elections in states (UP election was mentioned in the question ) and for which he replied elections should happen together...... and he was mentioning about a discussion with opposition party member who also shared his views....

Yes i had understood that part.
What i want to know is would the state governments and central govts change around the same time if election commission accepts this suggestion?

It is not practically possible..... and political parties wont allow that to happen.....last 2 years of NDA 3 sets of states gone in to election, and rest will go in coming 2 years...... Barring few states (bihar) all other states will have to either short cut their tenure or extent to match the time of central election..... Which parties wont agree......

That's what i said its not practical.
Plus the perils of changing govts in one go, all around India.
Not happening!

Actually the suggestion is a good one..... you know every move the govt brings would be termed as a gimmick looking at the coming election.... For ex : UCC was termed as an action with UP election in mind.....and you know what this was a statement from our own chennithala....

I still dont support change of govts in one go (both in the states as well as in center).
If thats what he meant.

That doesn't seem to bother Modi. He was very clear that he wants to concentrate on governance, and that he would not indulge in "politics" except in election campaigns.

Congress and its loyalists have lost their credibility. Nobody takes them seriously anymore.

Actually I am pretty sure this was how it was after independence until Indira's time.
All elections used to held together.
