Can't wait to see Indian lobby in Washington foaming at the mouth.

On another note, US is willing to do anything to spite Russia, so this not about fraaaaandship with Pakistan.
First raise your pockets for the deal 2-3 appaches won't help you much. If this gonna crack then bye bye Mi-35:D:D:D:D

The deal is already in bag .. too late for Tabloids

National News paper
Russia to supply Mi-35 helicopter to Pakistan – The Express Tribune

I suppose the deal was to provide Apache as additional resources for Pakistani forces and it would make sense but , MI-35 is here to stay

I think the Apache were surplus items so would be gift to Pakistan, but MI-35 is here to stay any surplus item will have to get evaluated by our Heads of Military

First acquire it then talk till date I'm seeing only articles and baseless talks by pakistani posters nothing on ground.apaches are one heck of costly machine if the deal will cut through forget about funding for Mi-35 unless the apache orders are reduced.

The average cost of one MI-35 is around 20 Million US Dollars. This equates to more than 2 Billion Rupees Per Helicopter. Just imagine if Our Army Officers will think about Pakistan first rather than their Hefty Commissions then even we will employ one Research Engineer for 100,000 Rs a Month. Then with an amount of just one helicopter we can hire more than 200 Researchers in Pakistan for more than 4 years.
I am pretty sure that if the same amount will be spent on Local Research and Development then not only it will create employment but we could achieve self reliance as well.
It is a sheer shame that Pakistan Army with Billions of rupees of Budget have not been able to produce a even a Single Automatic or Sniper Rifle on its own since 1947 and now we are begging everyone to give us some defense stuff to protect ourselves.."

Hi,

I did not expect pakistni kids to be so " SIMPLISTIC "----I can understand that the expectations can be high---but to simply have no comprehension of the task being spoken about---that is totally outrageous.

Is japan begging for military equipment---how about taiwan---how about indai----how about turkey---or saudi arabi---are all these nations begging for equipment from the U S or france or britain or russia---.

They are paying just like us---where does this begging thing come enforce---.

Pakistan desperately needs new Gunships. Our current fleet of Cobra gunships are old and need refurbishment.

Dude, today I found out that you are just a man-child. Nothing is as simple or straightforward as you just put it. By the way, we are not begging for anything, it's quid-pro-quo........ we are doing everyone a favor cleaning everyone else mess........... and not to forget, in the end we will be paying it through our teeth as well..............

Paying? from what?
All the countries you've mentioned have pockets big enough to purchase these items. While we on the other hand we have to comply with the demands of our mighty master to be viable for coalition support fund. At least don't compare us to the likes of Japan and Turkey....

Thank you for the man child comment.
I am definitely not proposing to build a heli on our own.
Maybe we are begging maybe we're not, but the fact that we have to look up to somebody and ask for something knowing the chances are low is just plain heart breaking, why do we have to be so weak?
50000 dead and still we haven't paid with our teeth?

IMO we don't need Apache first its extremely costly and costly maintenance secondly required new $$ infrastructure and training. The best possible option for Pakistan is 30 - 50 fleet of Super Cobra's AH1Z and AH1H/W from next 10 - 15 years it will be a deadly combo for Pakistan along with Bell 412

Any other source, a reliable one? India is already in the deal with the US over Apaches, i highly doubt US is going to offer them to us. Cobra's maybe but than again MI-35 is much better option when pitched against Cobra's for the following reasons:

1) we will get a foot hold into the Russian defense market (no matter how small it maybe)
2) MI-35 is better suited as it can act as a transport and carry special forces.
3) its much more rugged and can take a lot of beating unlike cobras. Cobras are suited for a war against India, for this we need MI-35.
