Hey guys,
I need some recommendation for novels. Lighthearted, preferably high/epic fantasy.Right now I would probably be satisfied by literature for 12 years old, I enjoyed reading Belgariad. I would prefer something in same tone. Not too serious, not dark, preferably witty.

Harry potter :p

In the novels/ fantasy category, I usually read the ones on which movies have been made and I have seen them. But only if I liked the movie. You'll be surprised how much stuff usually is left out. For example (Spoiler alert), in Jurassic park book there are 2 T-Rexes. World War Z dives into much more countries and their situation during the zombie plague.

But I'd love to have some new stuff to read as well, so suggestions please!

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

@Chinese-Dragon ,

Can you give me recommendations of some Chinese classics?

If you have an Android phone, then get Aldiko (or any other eBook reading app) and go to the "free library", which contains all the books which have run out of copyright, which is often books that have been written more than 70 years ago.

On the most downloaded list, you'll get a bunch of translated Chinese classics like the Art of War, Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Tao Te Ching, Analects of Confucius, I Ching, etc. and all for free as well. Since their copyright ran out a long time ago. :partay:

Will do this, bro.

I just recently finished reading "Outlaws of the Marsh", the English translation, he he ! There were many volumes, but I was addicted to it. One of my favorite Chinese classics of all time, it has all the genres i could think of, it had romance, action, the notion of model citizen and the bandits. Now im hungry for more. lol.

To the OP @Kloitra , if you ever are interested in Chinese classics, i recommend this to you:

Right now I am trying Mushoku tensei. Brainless light read.

Read the label on your tin of caviar.
