KARACHI: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that before hanging former dictator Pervez Musharraf, the government should punish his aides who toppled the government before the former dictator's plane landed at the airport on October 12, 1999.
Speaking at the inauguration of Nazeer Hussain University Saturday, MQM chief said that those who initiated treason case against the former military ruler are themselves guilty.
He further said that the separation of East Pakistan was due to lack of awareness and education. He stressed upon the need of providing education to masses and young generation so that incidents like fall of Dhaka can be avoided.
Altaf confirmed the news report published in the Daily Jang and The News International newspapers that he has applied for a Pakistani passport. He said that he has also applied for the National ID card.
“If I am not issued a passport and National ID card then my legal team would move Supreme Court,” he said
The MQM supremo lashed out at critics of army and termed them anti-state.
