Thats good news..... but,

Iraq had the biggest army in middle east .... look what happened to them

Right now numbers dont matters, what matters is that we should train our toops better and provide them with current tech

I guess thats what exactly the point is. I say it just shouldn't matter anymore, of how many troops we have, as we already have nuclear weapons, the quantity shouldn't matter. However, we must keep half of troops compare to India. Provide them with latest weaponry, better tech than India.

With that if we get even more money than that money can go in the other departments like Air Force, Navy, Paramilitary, and so on.

Pakistani troops well equipped do look dangerous.

Partly agree with you here Rahman.
Iraqi army fought against mighty US and his allies and stood no chance from the biginning.
Pakistan Army is well equipped and well motivated and considered one of the best in the world.
So it should be given some credit.

Pakistan Army is of course well trained too in addition to its motivation. Its interesting.

I believe that only that army wins war which has courage, motivation, purpose, goal and discipline.

Interesting, Pakistan is number 7 but what about India though? Anyways I know number isnt everything but it can make a slightest different in war.

India is believe to have 3rd largest active troops in the world. The activity can of course be seen in the Kashmir region, and a year ago where the whole Indian army was on Pakistan-India border, and they wasted all the resources all the time there.

I agree that we need courgae & motivation, but if we have the latest tech it will also reduce the number of casulties that we will suffer.

how many of our soldiers have full obdy armour? kelevar helmet? night vision ?

I suggest that you should search on the net for "juba" look at his video.
I saw him shootin at marines and they fell because of the impact of the bullet, because of their armour they were alive; stood up and ran for the cover behind the tank

If they had no armour this juba guy would had 90% kill ratio

Dude he was like an elf in Lord of the Rings. Killing soldiers with sniper instead of an arch. Orcs had a very good armour but he was still able to kill them by arching on their neck, samething i believe he did. Head shot.

In this age of war, numbers means nothing, army is good to hold ground but war is maily won by air, and american proved it recently.

I would rather support half the size of current strength, but equip then better and train them better.

Ya, thats basically everyone's opinion is. (I assume) For Pakistan to gain the strength it must built up its air force like jinnah said, and equip our soldier with latest weaponry and technology, cut them half, and of course keep the training as it is.

Also it would be a good idea if weak soldiers be used for other parts of the armed forces like U.S does.. Look at the U.S Navy.

That is partially true
the reason why american victory seems so remarkable in 1991 and makes the ground war like a mere footnote to the whole campaign is because their airforce outnumbered the iraqis 10-1 (only counting Mig-23/29s interceptors) against such odds there was little that the iraqis could do
most other wars are fought with airforces of roughly equal sizes
for third world wars the army will still play the key role for the forseable future and numbers will matter in a war of attrition(even the number of troops) as the gulf war was a classic blitzkrieg this factor(attrition) did not come into play.

Riech your right. God forbid if there is a war with U.S against Pakistan. PAF and PN will be eliminated in the first week or so. The only things that will remain will be the ground soldiers. Thus, the land warfare is more critical than air warfare, the air warfare is only to support land warfare and to meet its goals.

Same goes with the navy.
