Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One?

I think the camera issue is with the version of firmware you are using, it's fixed with updated software.

Check following threads.

When buying a phone one should see what is the things which are absolutely required for him ... personall i don't give a damn about camera since if i am out-door, I have my DSLR. I care about indoor photography or night mode where HTC Beats S4.

That being said here are few things which makes me love HTC

I am paying freaking $700 and I don't want a piece of plastic in my hand after that. I want a phone which feels good and not some toy. I agree that S4 chose plastic to reduce weight but seriously I don't care if the "smart-phone" i am using feels like a toy

Samsung has put so many options via touch-wiz that it has cluttered its UI. While gazing at screen, there are too much information there. Of course, I can root the device and install a custom rom but i need a good Out of the box experience.

Touch-Wiz, seriuosly samsung, thats your innovation ? your UI still looks like old windows 98 style box layout in this modern age of Touch screen. If compsing a text on S4, you will see a "box" for contact, a "box" for attachment, a "box" for messages, a "box" for compose and then a "box" for send ... compare this with default android 4.2 layout and you would know how heavy samsung layout is on eyes. Then compare it with HTC Sense and you would know what i am talking about.

To be honest, every one is going crazy about samsung devices and the only reason is that samsung invested good in marketing. From a geeky guy's perspective, I don't rate samsung a very good device, specially not something worth $700. But again, everyone would say that samsung is best and they wouldn't even know *WHY THEY ARE SAYING IT*. remember, bigger isn't always better. Getting more mega-pixel camera doesn't mean that software which used this mega-pixel actually worthy enough to take good shots (this is just example, S4 definitely has better picture qualiyt in normal daylight)

well , the one thing I like about touch wizard is the information that is in front of you and also I'm not restricted to Apple menu style that looks like you emptied a box full of junks on screen . honestly if you want a program you must search for half an hour to find it while with touch wizard you can made several directory and put all related item in its respective directory .every thing is clear and you knew where to find everything

seems like you never tried sense or even stock android ...

With HTC Sense, your Contacts (people app) is more richer than any other contacts app on any phone ... yes, any phone. The HTC Sense will fetch the information from social media and put them together on regular basis (obviously if you have linked them). Their picture, their history, their events bla bla ... And lets say if they ahve a birthday in coming one day, you don't have to open their contact to learn about it, if you are calling them, their on-display picture will have it up there so you would know.

One thing i hate on all android phones (except htc) is that for "each" social media i need a software. I have to install facebook, tweeter, linkedin etc ... but with htc sense, when i open my friends contact I can see what is latest tweet is, what is his latest picture is .. and thats when i just opened his contact to check his phone number. Things just flow right in place.

And oh i forgot one thing, Finally there is one phone which placed speakers at front .. thank God.

HTC and samsung use the same processor only s4 is slightly over clocked. Both are full hd. 13 megampixel camera is overkill, good luck trying to upload huge 5mb pics on Facebook which will be viewed on at best full hd screens.

No. Most s4s use Samsung's own Octa-core processor, depending on the region. Rest use the snap dragon.

People forget S4's features like Hover, Smart stay and Eye scroll etc.. While htc is just another upgraded android phone using the latest available hardware, but S4 has lots of new features. (sensors too)

Bigger battery on S4. 2600 mAh vs htc's 2300 mAh.
Samsung has always been a champ in the battery department.

The only place where Htc wins, is its awsome build quality vs Samsung's plastic finish.

To sum up..
Every Flagship phone from almost every manufacturer is amazing. Its up to you to decide.

Depending on region is the keyword here, you make one phone octa core processor and let your marketing guys tout that worldwide while most users will be getting snapdragon s6.

Not that octa core is of any value either except for being battery hog. Give me one app in market which uses all four cores of snapdragon let alone 8 cores.

That's what I don't like about Samsung, they make their device marketing in mind while HTC makes user experience in mind.

Hover, air view etc are mostly marketing gimmick or half baked features. You will not use them ever, they don't work most of the time and that too only on Samsung native apps.

If I buy s4, first thing I'll be doing is getting rid of touchwiz.

Ok, so you love Htc One. Fair enough.

As i said earlier, every flagship device from almost any manufacturer is one of the best around. Depends on you.

HTC One is priced ridiculously high vis a vis S4.....There is no way HTC One will be able to compete with S4. Samsung hasnt just build a device, Samsung means business, they want people to be able to buy their product more conveniently.

It's actually priced lower than S4 at least in USA.

there is no program that use all 8 core and there won't be any in future as those core cant work together these are like 4 cortex a15 and 4 cortex a7 when load is high cortex a15 cores are working and when load is low they are turned off and cortex a7 cores are working .

by the way if HTC looked at user experience why they don't hear all the peoples negative feedback about lack of SD-Card

Flip side of having unibody design. But look at this way Samsung goes you 16 gb internal of which only 8 gb is user space and you can't install apps on sd card. HTC gives you 32 gb at the same price which is more than enough for me.

Galaxy S4 but I am waiting for mini....

I'm using HTC One S (full metal body) and Iphone5 (full metal body) I like both.
