Are these people Persians?

Just curious, as these are the types of Iranians I have mostly met here in Canada in terms of looks. So im wondering if they are considered persian by other Iranians.

Yes it is,but as it's told,no one calls himself Persian in Iran,that's also true about Azeris,Kurds and other ethnic groups.People generally refer to themselves as 'Iranians',no matter from what ethnic group they are,except in some specific conditions some one may call him/herself as Persian (Parsi),Azeri,Balooch,Kurd,Arab or any others.

Cool thanks. Sometimes it seems that Azeri's are like the WASP's of Iran from many of the posts here and on the internet. And other types of Iranians tend to idolize them for some reason.

When you use the word PERSIANS , it includes Iranians, Afghans, Tajiks and other persian speaking peoples of neighbouring countries. There is no country called Persia, anymore.
