Its a good initiative I guess but what about the poor people?

They won't be able to afford this.

I hope they will maintain the quality (although it's very doubtful)

About 775 miles, so 18 hours travel time works out to about 43 mph average speed.

I understand mostty metric system but still thank you for the information. I saw news that tracks on this route is not suitable to cross speed over 100km/hour may be the reason for the slow time.

About 1250 km at an average speed of about 70 kph would be the metric approximation.

I used to think since Pakistan Railway is in crisis people mostly prefer Daewoo Services to travel between Karachi to Lahore, Peshawar or Quetta.

PIA's night coach's base fair is 5500, add fuel surcharge and you ll know how economical it is :)

Behavior of Airliner industry has been more of a cartelized operation than competitive one.

Just like the recent Saudi decision, Pakistan in the interest of a better aviation industry should open the domestic market to foreign airlines as well. These crapy domestic airlines have made domestic travel a nightmare !

yes it is ,but this is a correct step.U need to make investment inorder to earn profits. But most of that comes from transporting goods rather than people.
