the villagers are just idiots. They were shouting check his pockets for any grenade and stupid stuff like that.
How would abhi be in the ground while the other pilot is still up in the air?
Either the villagers are mistaking abhi's parachute for another pilot or mig-21 drag chute got deployed.
Notice Pak military personnel were not interested a bit in this imaginary dusra banda.
I would ignore any of villagers statements regarding this incidents which is nothing but emotional imaginary stuff.

And then there was a video where an old man with some blood on his clothes which he picked up when he and others wrestled the IAF pilot to the ground was convinced that THE pilot they apprehended was a Sikh officer.
