Pakistan Needs to Follow very Simple Rules

1 - All Banks of Pakistan Must immediately not charge for Banking accounts
2 - Only People with Valid Nadra Card should allowed to form a Bank Account

• Free Training for usage on ATM cards if account holder not familiar

3- All Currency Notes need to be reissued

Cancel Current Notes, and ask people to replace old notes with ones

a) Declare Source of Income at time of Deposit to Bank and attaining replacement
b) If proof of past taxation is not made, apply a 5% Penalty

4- 60 Days notice for residential property owners to register themselves in Online Registry \ for Owners of a home / busiesss

5- 60 Days notice for Commercial property owners to register themselves in Online Registry \ for ownership of Commercial property

6- 60 Days notice for Registration of Foreign Property (If Person resides in Pakistan)
7- 60 Days notice if a person is residing overseas but owns Commercial plots

Title is misleading....Dr Hafeez Shaikh did not reject the scheme, he asked FBR to come up with more simplified scheme.

I don't like this guy, there's something amiss in this whole episode. How did the establishment overlooked his past at such a critical juncture of our history? Who planted him there in the Finance ministry? It wasn't Imran Khan for sure.

He has contacts with IMF and foreign banks. This is important to get better deals with IMF etc. Asad Umer was new to this game with no experience of dealing international banking firms.

Failed is fine question is will Pakistan ho after those who have assets if they dont declare them this time

Remember before 2018 there were provisions in law to allow hidden assests and money laundering almost all have been plugged now..so this time if govt is sincere it can crack hard on this

Lol...Hafiz shaikh waived off more then 500 billion in tax-exemption during his tenure..GDP growth was worst....He was the one who made amended agreement with Etisalat and provided reason to them for withheld 800 million USD....I don't know who recommended him..
