Yemen's war against Houthi & AQAP terrorism (news & updates)

A couple of Houthi leaders have been subject to UN sanctions, but the Houthi movement itself has not been designated as a terrorist organization/movement by the UN, or any country other than KSA and UAE.

But even Ali Abdullah Saleh (former president of Yemen) was on that UN sanctions list although he had (later on) supported the KSA led coalition.

Killing civilians is unacceptable under all circumstances. But acts of sabotage against the military installations of the invading forces and attacks on Legitimate military targets are not "Terror" attacks.

Which is the same thing. If your leaders are terrorist the entire organization likewise. Lists are political anyway and it took most countries years to add ISIS on such a list. PKK is not on such a list in most countries too. Yet will you claim that they are not a terrorist group? What about all the terrorist groups in Pakistan? How many are on official lists abroad? I would assume very few if any other than Al-Qaeda and Taliban who have no presence in Pakistan but Afghanistan.

Ali Abdullah Saleh was an ally of the Houthis until they killed him after he was tryin to reach out to the Arab coalition and help end the war. So they killed him.

Let us just forget that the Houthi terrorist cult did an illegal coup against the YEMENI state back in 2014 that the UN condemned and the world community. Not a single country recognized them. Not even the Iranian Mullah regime.

They tick all the boxes required to be considered a terrorist group not even mentioning their neglect of Yemen and utter incompetence.

Using that logic ISIS are not terrorists when they fought/fight the international coalition and the legitimate and official Iraqi and Syrian government either as they were "well within their right" to fight invading forces. After all they took control of the landmass and population in much the same fashion as the Houthis did. By sheer force and nothing else.

The only reason why there are civilian casualties by KSA/Arab coalition and the Yemeni government is due to Houthis DELIBERATELY ridding among civilians like EVERY terrorist group out there. That is more deplorable than a military tasked to engage hostile targets. Conventional military cannot attack Houthis because they hide (deliberately) among civilians but Houthis can fire ballistic missiles at civilian areas and military sights in KSA (all failing) and artillery across the border aimed at civilian areas but we cannot respond?

No, it's not the same thing.

They are not on the UN terrorist list.

Afghan Taliban haven't been designated terrorists by the UN or US. Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been designated as a terrorist organization by the UN and US. Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) by EU, UK, US etc... Hizb ut-Tahrir by the UN and so on.

Lists are political anyway

Agreed

Come on. If criminals are leaders of an organization the likelihood of that organization being criminal itself is very huge. So yes, it says a lot about the Houthis that their leaders appear on such lists.

Most terrorist groups are not on that UN list. However the same incompetent UN has made countless of resolutions condemning the Houthis starting with their bloody and violent coup of Yemen in 2014. Before KSA was forced to interfere.

Says it all if they have not then.

Anyway Houthis tick almost if not all the boxes of them being terrorists. So me calling them terrorists is not propaganda but the reality. It is not even a recognized state actor or even a recognized group by any country officially although the Iranian Mullah regime supports them. That tells a lot as well. If they were some good guys that would not have occurred.
