First of all you should check also the quality. 1 Israeli or Saudi F-15s for instance equals to 10 Egyptian or Pakistani Mirage V.

Secondly, they consider 148 Israeli F-16A/B/D + 16 F-15 B/D as "training", although they are all perfectly capable for combat. That gives 407 combat aircrafts.

Finally Israel has large number of tankers, special mission aircrafts, UAVs. Which greatly increase air force capability. Quite large number of combat helicopters (including Apache Longbow and Cobras equipped with Spike NLOS - 25 km range).

Hello Jew,

Why your behind is burning? I never contested quality of your airforce. I just stated what I found in the article. Also, one poster already told us about "active" aircrafts and "total" aircrafts thingy.

You don't need to get all worked up. We know that you guys are a professional air force...just like us, turks, swedish, french, japs etc..

However, I'd like your views in this thread though...

hahaha...nervous? about what?

Anyways, your reply was completely out of place since I NEVER intended to discuss the quality/capability of any force. I just stated the numbers of aircrafts that OP gives.

We spend just 2.5 % of our GDP on defence when the world norm is 3% .

Moreover security is paramount . We have to have a country to help the needed.
in 2011, world defence cost :1.73 trillion $, world GDP :70trillion $----2.47%
but take US out, world defence cost(not include US):1.02trillion $, world GDp(not US): 55trillion$------1.85%
