LAHORE: Winner of Peter Mackler Award of Courage and Ethical Journalism and senior journalist of Bol Tv, Asma Shirazi, claimed that she witnessed PTI workers was misconducting with female journalist Sana Mirza and she was holding a stick to protect herself from outrageous PTI workers in Lahore.


Asma Shirazi alleged, ‘I think that Imran Khan is a brave man and I am sure he is; than he should take strict action against the out of control PTI workers who misbehaved with female journalists.


While talking to a private news channel, she warned to call Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan as ‘Buzdil (Timid) Khan’ if he would not take strict action against attacks on female journalists.


Asma Shirazi’s Twitter message

She demanded PTI chief to unveil the ‘buzdil (timid) workers’ who resorted to attack on females.

The journalist admitted repeated attacks on male journalists Geo News teams by PTI workers. She added that the recent attacks on female journalists by PTI workers were highly condemnable.

She said that such attack could not be quoted from society, Islam or eastern traditions

IK should take action? Then shouldnt the police dept be under IK? I mean isnt police and securtiy there for the awaam or is it only for PMLN?
